we make
things simple.

We are here to help you find yourself again.

so, shit has hit the fan… now what?

STEP ONE

be human.

It’s ok to not be ok.

Accepting that you need some help to get through things is the first step to feeling better. This is often the hardest part of getting the help you need. The sooner you reach out, the sooner you can work toward finding your freedom again. You’ve got this!

STEP TWO

find a counselor.

We are here to help.

We hope that you’ll consider working with us but the most important thing is that you find a counselor who you like – even if it’s not with us! The relationship you have with your counselor is the biggest indicator of success in reaching your therapy goals, so it needs to feel right.

STEP THREE

free meeting.

Request your FREE 15 minute consultation with Sovereign Soul Counseling.

We believe that having a therapist that gets you is crucial in finding success in freedom. We want you to meet us and see if we are a good match for you! Schedule time with one of our counselors to get a sense of who we are and if we can help you achieve your goals.

STEP FOUR

initial intake.

You like us, we like you. Dope! Let’s get started!

We’ve both given the green light and we’re ready to be official! We’ll set up a 90 minute intake appointment to get to know you more in depth and learn how we can help you achieve your therapy goals.

STEP FIVE

begin sessions.

When shit hits the fan, things can get messy. Time to get to work!

Work with your individual counselor one-on-one toward the treatment goals you created together. We will be there with you every step of the way and cheer you on when you reach big milestones in your recovery.

still on the fence?

Here are the top 3 hurdles that keep people from seeking help and how we address them.

Insurance

We accept the following insurance plans:

  • Anthem BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, UMR, Medicare, & Medicaid (CO Access, CCHA, & Rocky Mountain Health Plan).

We also offer private pay. Here’s why:

  • Our clients are not limited by their insurance company about who can be your counselor;
  • There is no requirement for a formal mental health diagnosis (except if you request a “Super Bill”);
  • There are no limits on how many sessions you’re allowed;
  • There is no increase in insurance premiums based on mental health diagnoses;
  • Our clients secure more private mental health records;
  • and so much more…

Cost

We believe therapy should be accessible for everyone. We make every effort to accommodate your financial circumstances and may be able to offer reduced rates for counseling services. Contact us for more details.

Stigma

The hardest part of getting help is admitting you need help. Needing help is not a sign of weakness and there is no shame in struggling with mental health. Every person has their own unique struggles and we all cope differently- you are not alone. Seeking mental health care is an investment into yourself. You are worthy now, just as you are, struggles and all.

    • Yes! Our providers have the option of taking the following insurances: Anthem BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, UMR, Medicare, & Medicaid (CO Access, CCHA, Rocky Mountain Health Plan). Please note that some of our providers are Private Pay only or have limited slots available for clients using insurance. • For all other insurances, we are considered an out-of-network provider and we are happy to provide a Super Bill for possible reimbursement.
    • We accept all major debit/credit cards, HSA, and FSA debit cards.
    • This depends on your specific goals and the things going on in your life. Some clients are only in therapy to get through a rough patch, while others see a therapist more long term. Whatever the case may be for you, we never say that you “terminate” services with us; once you’re a client at SSC, you are always welcome to come back if life gets hard again!
    • If you’re asking yourself this, chances are you already know in your gut that you might need some help sorting through something you’re going through. Friends and family are helpful, but you might feel like you’re not really getting anywhere. This is where counseling can help. A counselor can help you see things from a new perspective and help you get to the root cause.
    • We firmly believe counseling can be right for anyone. The aspect that predicts if you will benefit from counseling most is the therapeutic relationship you have with your counselor. If you don’t like your therapist, or don’t feel like they “get you,” chances are you won’t get much from therapy and might write therapy off completely.
      Whether or not you choose to seek counseling services at SSC, we encourage you to not give up hope and instead keep looking for a therapist until you find someone you really like! Don’t be afraid to ask your therapist questions to gauge if THEY are the right fit for YOU.
    • Call 9-1-1. Many counties now have mental health co-responders who accompany police on mental health crisis calls which you can request when you call.
    • For veterans: Call the Veterans Crisis Line at 1-800-273-8255 and Press 1 or text 838255
    • Call the Colorado Crisis Line at 1-844-493-8255 or text TALK to 38255
    • Sovereign Soul Counseling does not provide emergent crisis intervention
  • Yes! We accept the following Medicaid plans: CO Access, CCHA, & Rocky Mountain Health Plan. Please note that if you decide to seek therapy elsewhere, you cannot legally pay out of pocket for any service that could be covered by your Medicaid plan as this is insurance fraud and could jeopardize your benefits.

  • Unless you have Medicaid, no, you can elect to pay out of pocket for therapy. If you have Medicaid, you cannot legally pay out of pocket for any service that could be covered by your Medicaid plan as this is insurance fraud and could jeopardize your benefits.
