hi there, i’m

tegan rowley

MA, LPC

Practice Owner

I am an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Air Force.

After suffering a back injury while serving on active duty, I was medically separated from the military in 2015. Unfortunately, my military service not only led to my back injury, but also led to a broken spirit. I’ve been in the emotional trenches of mental health struggles myself and know first hand what it takes to find your place in the world again (it takes a lot of dedication and a slightly warped sense of humor in case you’re wondering).

I started this private practice because I want to be an agent of change. We all deserve accessible mental health care that doesn’t just put a band aid over a gaping emotional wound, but delivers deeper soul healing.

When I’m not on my soapbox about any mental health issue, you can find me busting out a cringe-worthy dance move, ruining the lyrics to every song on the radio, or spoiling my pride and joy, Dexter (my dog).

hi there, i’m

brock ernst

MA, LPCC

I am an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army.

After serving 12 years in the United States Army, various combat injuries and poor mental health led to a medical retirement in 2016. I struggled greatly with the loss of identity while searching for purpose and meaning. With the help of others, I worked through my own mental health, finding purpose and meaning again. More importantly, I found a new identity in being of service to others and walking with them on their journey.

I joined this private practice because I want to help make substantial changes in our communities. We all deserve the opportunity to heal and be healthy. Past traumatic experiences can have a lasting impact if not appropriately addressed. These experiences can cause anxiety, depression, guilt, shame, and even negative beliefs about yourself and the world you live in. I am here to help you sort through those experiences.

During my career as a clinician, I have discovered my love for working with children, as well. Using elements of play therapy, I work with kids so they can develop emotional regulation skills and build vital resiliency as they grow.

When I am not talking about mental health, I am with my children telling some amazing dad jokes, using awesome 90’s words like dope and rad, or singing anything from Slipknot to the latest Miley Cyrus jam.

hi there, i’m

sherry anderson

MA, LPCC

I am a military spouse and the mother of four wonderful children.

During the past 16 years of motherhood I struggled to find my place in this world trying to strike a balance between motherhood and a career. This was an enormous hurdle given the fact my husband was active duty military the entire time. It took me years to find who I was amidst it all, and at times it was messy. I am not standing here today saying it was easy, but it was worth it. I know I am going to keep continuing to grow and learn and be the best version of myself.
I decided that it was time I used my experiences to help those struggling as well, regardless of what that was for them. I saw the growth inside myself, and I knew I wanted to help people and facilitate growth in them while walking beside them.
I joined this practice because I believe in being a part of something beautiful and productive. This practice embodies authenticity and a safe space for any person, and, with the right paperwork, aliens from outer space. (They have problems too, right?)

When I am not trying to change the world you can find me talking to my tortoise Larry, telling him jokes that my kids will not laugh at. You might find me dancing the night away while I also crack jokes that only I find amusing, followed by thrifting while I formulate my next dad joke.

hi there, i’m

andrea money

MA, LPCC

I am an advocate for veteran mental health and the mother of two beautiful children

After repeatedly finding myself changing paths from where I thought life was supposed to be taking me, I felt incredibly unsure of my purpose and identity. Even after becoming a mother to two amazing children, I couldn’t figure out what was missing or why I just couldn’t “get it”. With support, I eventually discovered that the compass I should have been navigating by the entire time was the one within myself. As someone who has felt lost and hopeless many times, I am no stranger to the transformation that opening up to another human and being truly vulnerable can bring to our lives. Sometimes when we fall down, we need someone to help us get up, dust off, and get back to ourselves.

I joined this practice because I resolutely believe in the Sovereignty that each of us possess over our own fates. I believe that we all have far stronger power than we realize, and can enact more change within ourselves than we ever would have imagined. I am thankful to be part of a practice where I can walk beside people as they transform their own lives, while serving the needs of a community which I connect with and care about deeply.
When I’m not doing individual or Equine-Assisted group therapies, I’m hanging out with my two mini-me’s and our animal friends, rocking out to something classic (80’s music, anyone?), or camping and offroading.

Office Manager

I am an advocate for veteran mental health and a general badass

I decided to become a counselor because in the darkest moments of my life I found myself lost, alone, and completely hopeless. I was fortunate to have found a beacon of hope in my own counselor, who undoubtedly saved my life. It was because of my own journey that I became passionate about mental health counseling. It is a privilege and an honor to witness my clients’ courage, resilience, and commitment to change.

I view my role as a therapist as a partnership, where I am here to guide and support my clients as they explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My goal is to empower my clients to develop the skills and insights necessary to lead happy and fulfilling lives, even after therapy has ended. I believe that the work that we do together has the potential to create lasting change and to help individuals reach their full potential.

From the very beginning, I was drawn to the Sovereign Soul team because of the commitment to providing excellent care for their clients. I wanted to work alongside badass clinicians who share my passion for accessible therapy services for the community. I feel privileged to be a therapist, and I am constantly inspired by the transformative power of therapy. I am committed to providing my clients with the support, guidance, and expertise they need to achieve their goals and to live their best lives.

When I’m not working with clients I find myself laughing at my own jokes, more than anyone else. Listening to whatever music calls to my soul that day or cracking open one of my many hoarded books. I enjoy getting outside and exploring the beautiful state of Colorado with my furry sidekick, Lenny, and nourishing my spirit and body with movement, patience and gratitude. I look forward to the connection and healing we can make together.

dedicated to the memory of
SrA Chloe Thompson.

Tegan met Chloe in Air Force basic training in San Antonio, Texas in 2012. Shortly after arriving at her first duty station where she served in Security Forces, Chloe was diagnosed with Stage 4 Inoperable Melanoma at age 19. Despite this, Chloe carried on with inspiring positivity and a fierce, warrior attitude. At age 22, Chloe passed peacefully in her home with her mom and sister by her side. Chloe inspired the name “Sovereign Soul” as she reminded the world that no matter your circumstances, no one can take your truest sense of self from you. /span>

A1C Alicia Beck.

Tegan met Alicia in Air Force basic training in San Antonio, Texas in 2012. Tegan and Alicia then went on to technical training school in Fort Lee, VA together and were attached at the hip. She was fearlessly authentic, hilariously awkward and relatable, and brought unfiltered joy wherever she went. Alicia unexpectedly passed away in March 2022 while still serving in the Air National Guard and is survived by her son, parents, seven sisters, and an unimaginable number of friends. We dedicate the work we do to Alicia’s memory in hopes that we can showcase with our clients the same kind of authenticity she embodied, and to encourage our clients to do the same for there is freedom in living our authentic truths.

Chloe, thank you for the best example of how to live. Your legacy will live on forever.
