get to know us

hi there, i’m
taylor bradshaw
MA, LPCC
I am an advocate for veteran mental health and a family member of those who served
After years of navigating challenges with substance use throughout my adolescent and young adult life, I found myself isolated both socially and emotionally. In many ways I felt as though I was simply drifting through life without a sense of purpose, lacking a true appreciation of who I was or what I had to offer this world. Through the support of another, I discovered how powerful connection was in fostering belief in myself and recognized that I could persevere through hardship to reach deeper levels of personal understanding. These experiences have shown me how someone can serve as our strength in times when we want nothing more than to give up. I am dedicated to serving others as they face down the darkest parts of themselves and to being the person who reaches out a hand and says, “I got you.”
I value being genuine with my clients as they share their pain and celebrate their successes. Moments like these remind me of our shared humanness and the importance of making meaning of our experiences. I firmly believe that it takes strength to not let our experiences define us and that we are all capable of taking agency over our lives as we work toward liberation from limiting beliefs about ourselves and the world that no longer serve us.
Sovereign Soul’s values of autonomy, authenticity and acceptance align with how I view people on a foundational level. I think that these are key ingredients in forming meaningful connections both within the therapeutic relationship and in the community at large. I am honored to contribute to the creation of an inclusive environment that empowers individuals in their efforts to find themselves and create lasting change in their lives.
In my time away from the office I am a dedicated dog dad and enjoy anything that keeps me moving, whether that’s shooting some hoops or trying to make a name for myself on the amateur pickleball circuit.
